BRELAXED STRESS CONSULTANCY

By Michelle Pearson

Relaxation Room

Welcome to your relaxation room, soon there will be a number of different types of rooms to visit and experience. This is a gentle relaxation exercise, you have the choice of having the music in the background, or you can stop it by clicking the stop icon on your browser. The picture and the lake is specific for this relaxation, so please make sure you can see the whole image. Then read the following instructions, and enjoy your experience. If you have trouble remembering the instructions, record them onto a tape, allowing time for you to experience each image that arises. And now allow yourself to relax.

Make sure you are comfortable, turn the volume level to one that suits you.

Watch the movement of the water, allowing your mind to focus solely on this picture.

Take a nice deep breath up through your nose and release it nice and gently through your mouth.

As you watch the water ripple imagine yourself as one of the rocks,

Each time the water flows over you, it takes away a piece of tension..

Allow this image to continue as you breathe in and out in a gentle slow manner, providing your body and mind with all that you need.

The rippling water is taking away all the tension your body has been holding....

And now imagine you are foating in the gentle flow of the water,

You will float gently into a large secluded cove,

Here you will be safe, relaxed and at ease, there is nothing you have to do,

Continue watching and feeling the soft flowing water gently flow around you taking away any remaining tension.

When you are ready, count to five 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 and return gently to your daily life.
